A Holiday Healing

When we stop and look at our life, we can easily see that we are not alone... We are surrounded by people... colleagues... friends... and family all eager to take just a little bit of our time...

Yet in the midst of these interactions, we feel a loneliness... an emptiness that no crowd can remedy... a numbing walk as we move about our day through the hustle and bustle of the holiday season... Smiling and singing through rote... the expectation... memories of past holidays to push us through... a facade...

Holding in what we can't say or express... we feel alone...

Then it happens... someone steps in... moving closer to hold us as we begin to weaken... a transferring of strength... a letting go... healing from within... Letting someone else carry us through... holding us as we release... a freeing of pain... filling the emptiness as we are lifted... strengthening our faith... drying our tears as a smile begins to surface... we breathe... we rise... A gentle nudge... we move forward... we are not alone...

Merry Christmas to all from the bottom of my heart, a glimpse of my mom will surface through me this holiday season...
